Fancy Gradient Frames

| This tutorial is
NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick Guide" unless it is
for your own personal use.
To do this tutorial you will need a working knowledge of PSP.
If you are new to PSP, or have a problem doing this tutorial,
you can find me at Raven's
PSP forum, be happy to help you out.
You
also need to download my Bars
gradient.
Choose an image you would like to
frame.
Duplicate it, Shift>D. Work with the copy.
On your Color Palette set your
background color to match your image.
Here I chose a dark brown.
Go to Image>Add Borders. Here I used 25. |
| |
Add a New Layer.
Fill it with the Bars Gradient.
Rectangular Gradient set to 1.

| |
On your Layer Palette, change the Blend Mode to Multiply.

To clear the center go to
Selections>Select All.
Then Selections>Modify>Contract.
Start with Contract 25, or whatever number you used for your
border, and keep contracting until you have the area you want to
delete selected.
Go to Edit>Clear.
That's it, quick and easy frame, and one you can do a
lot of experimenting with to get different looks. |
Experiment, and have fun!
This frame was set to Hard Light
