Quick Grid

| |
| This
tutorial is NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick
Guide" unless it is for your own personal use. |
| |
To do this tutorial you will need a working knowledge of
PSP. If you are new to PSP, or have a problem doing this tutorial, you
can find me at Raven's
PSP forum, be happy to help you out.
Download my Grid gradient. Place it in
your gradients folder.
|
| |
Open a new image 200 x 200, any color background is okay. |
|

|
| |
Add a new layer.
Go to the main menu-Layers-New Raster Layer. Click OK. |
|
Flood Fill tool |
| |
On the Color Palette, go to Styles-Foreground Color-click the arrow-go
to the gradients box and click on it. |
|
|
| |
Click on the gradient image to choose the Grid gradient.
Choose Linear Gradient as your style and set the repeats to 15.
You can set the repeats to any number, 15 is just an example.
Click OK. Use the Flood Fill tool to fill your image with the gradient.
|
| |
|
Go to the main menu-Image-Rotate. Rotate your layer 90 degrees right.
Click OK.
(You can also just rotate your gradient instead of the layer,
whichever you find easier.)

|
| |
Use the Flood Fill tool to fill your image
again.
That's it, you have a grid.
|
| |
You can also use the Grid gradient to box your grid.
Set the Rectangular Gradient to 0 repeats and Flood Fill. |
|

|
| |
Don't want a gray grid?
Go to the main menu-Colors-Colorize and play with the settings to find a
color you like. |
|
|
| |
This is an image I made with my Grid Gradient.
The whole image is done with gradients and layer blend modes.
