| |
| This
tutorial is NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick
Guide" unless it is for your own personal use. |
| |
To do this tutorial you will need a working knowledge of PSP. If you are
new to PSP, or have a problem doing this tutorial, you can find me at Raven's
PSP forum, be happy to help you out.

Open a new image, 300 X 300, Transparent
background.
Flood Fill
with White.
|
|
|
|
On your Main menu, go to Effects>Texture Effects>Blinds.
Use these settings.
|
|
|
On your Main menu, go to Effects>Geometric Effects>Pixelate.
Use these settings.
|
|
|
|
Click on the Magic Wand ,
go to the tool options and set the Tolerance to 5 or lower.
Click on one of the stripes.
|
|
|
On your Main menu, go to Selections>Modify>Select Similar.
You should see every other stripe selected..
From here you can do a lot of experimenting with colors
and effects.
|
| |
|
Here's one example.
Pick a dark blue for your foreground color, and a
light blue for you background color.
Flood fill
your selected stripes with dark blue.
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>3D Effects>Inner Bevel.
Choose a bevel effect, here I used Metallic.

|
| |
On your Main Menu, go to Selections> Invert.
Flood Fill
with the light blue.
I used the Metallic Bevel on these stripes, also.
|
| |
On your Main Menu, go to Selections>Select None.
Go to your tool bar, double click on the Crop Tool .
Use these settings. Click OK.
That's it, you have a striped background.

|
| |
To make the ball shape as shown on top of page:
On your Main Menu, go to Effects>Geometric Effects> Circle.
On your Main Menu, go to Image>Rotate, use 90 degrees left or right.
To Smooth the edges a little, select the shape.
On your Main Menu, go to
Selections> Modify>Contract by 1.
Go to
Selections> Modify>Feather by 1.
Go to Selections>Invert.
On your Main Menu, go to Edit>Clear.
|
| |
Using the Weave
Filter on your stripes is another nice effect.
