Stones Texture

| This tutorial is
NOT to be scripted or made into a "Quick Guide" unless it is
for your own personal use.

To do this tutorial you will need a working knowledge of
PSP. If you are new to PSP, or have a problem doing this tutorial, you
can find me at Raven's
PSP forum, be happy to help you out.

|
Open a new image 400 X 400, transparent background.
Flood Fill
with Color #C0C0C0.

|

|
|
Go to Effects>Noise.
Set it to 100% Uniform.
Repeat
|
|
|
|
Go to Effects>Blur>Gaussian Blur.
Set it to 2.

|
|
|
|
Set your Foreground Color to #F3F2E1.
Go to Effects>Artistic Effects>Hot Wax Coating.

Repeat

Go to Effects>Blur>Gaussian Blur.
Set it to 10.
|
|
|
Go to Effects>Texture Effects>Polished Stone.
Use these Settings. Color White.

Go to Effects>Noise>Edge Preserving Smooth
Set it to 5.
|
|
|
Co to Colors>Colorize.
Set it to Hue 25, Saturation 60.
Or you could go to Effects>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask and experiment
with the settings.

You can call it done now, if it suits you.

For a little different look, go Layers Duplicate.
Go to Image>Flip.
Open your Layer Palette.
Click the arrow next to Normal.
Click on Dodge.

Experiment with different effects on the duplicate layer.
Use Layer Blends to add it to your bottom layer.
If your effects are too dark go Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Brightness/Contrast.
Here I used Punch and the Fine Leather Filter.

Here I used the Soft Plastic Filter
